Stabilized zirconia powders for solid-oxide fuel cells and electrolysers, plus the spray-granule form the same chemistry takes in thermal barrier coatings. The line covers both electrolyte families — 8YSZ, the default for most SOFC programs, and 10Sc1CeSZ for cells that need higher ionic conductivity at intermediate temperature. Which to specify is an engineering decision before a purchasing one: the trade-offs are in our YSZ-versus-ScSZ selection guide. This is regulation-aware sourcing as much as powder supply — scandium and yttria have both been under Chinese export licensing since April 2025, so ScSZ moves on a MOFCOM licence with end-use documentation, and designing that licence track and holding more than one qualified source behind a grade is the core service here.
Of the three, only the scandium-bearing 10Sc1CeSZ carries the export licence; the conductivity edge that justifies it over 8YSZ is not shown here.
Grades
| SKU | Grade | Typical | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| NTS-ZR-8YF | 8YSZ sintering fine powder | 8 mol% Y₂O₃, submicron, BET agreed per order | Electrolyte sheets and supports |
| NTS-ZR-8YSP | 8YSZ spray granule | 15–45 / 45–75 µm granule cuts | Thermal barrier coatings, plasma spray |
| NTS-ZR-SC10 | 10Sc1CeSZ | Scandia 10 + ceria 1 mol% stabilized | High-performance SOFC / SOEC electrolytes |
NTS-ZR-8YF — 8YSZ sintering fine powder
Fully stabilized cubic zirconia at 8 mol% yttria, milled submicron for tape-cast electrolyte sheets and the zirconia fraction of anode supports. Surface area is agreed per order, because the BET that co-fires cleanly against your anode formulation is a property of your process — COAs name the measurement method.
NTS-ZR-8YSP — 8YSZ spray granules
The same 8YSZ chemistry as flowable spray granules in 15–45 µm and 45–75 µm cuts, for atmospheric plasma spray of thermal barrier coatings. The cut is chosen against your gun and parameter set; specify the cut your process is qualified on, or send the spray parameters and we advise.
NTS-ZR-SC10 — 10Sc1CeSZ
Zirconia co-stabilized with 10 mol% scandia and 1 mol% ceria — YSZ-class stability with substantially higher conductivity at intermediate operating temperature. Since April 2025 it is inseparable from its paperwork: we run the licence and end-user-certificate procedure with the shipper and keep the sourcing base dual — background in our scandium export-control analysis.
