Tetragonal zirconia stabilized with 3 mol% yttria, supplied as spray-dried granules with the binder system already in — a ready-to-press feedstock that goes from bag to dry press with no compounding on your side. The same material family serves dental restorations and structural ceramics; where the application demands more translucency, the yttria steps up to 4Y and 5Y. We supply the powder only — finished dental blocks are outside our scope. The buying risk is not the first lot but the third, so a grade is treated as qualified only against COAs from three consecutive production lots read to the same specification. The yttria sits under China's rare-earth export licensing, in force since April 2025; how that regime has landed on YSZ supply is in our analysis of the yttrium controls.
The axis shows translucency climbing with yttria but not the strength it trades away; we supply raw material only, not finished dental blocks.
Grades
| SKU | Grade | Typical | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| NTS-ZR-3YW | 3Y white | Y₂O₃ 3 mol%, ready-to-press granule, sintered density ≥6.05 g/cm³ class | Dental block feedstock, structural ceramics |
| NTS-ZR-3YS | 3Y pre-shaded | Colorant pre-mixed, shade agreed per order | Esthetic dental feedstock |
| NTS-ZR-4Y5Y | 4Y · 5Y high-translucency | Higher-yttria grades for increased translucency | Anterior esthetics, high-translucency parts |
| NTS-ZR-3YG | 3Y raw powder (non-granulated) | Nano to submicron primary powder | Customers running their own granulation or special forming |
NTS-ZR-3YW — 3Y white
3 mol% yttria, white, granulated with binder for dry pressing, sintering to the ≥6.05 g/cm³ class — the workhorse feedstock for milling-block production and structural parts pressed without hot isostatic pressing. Consecutive-lot qualification checks granule flow and fill behaviour, not just the density number.
NTS-ZR-3YS — 3Y pre-shaded
The same 3Y base with colorants pre-mixed at the powder stage, so shading is uniform through the pressed body rather than applied afterwards. Shades are agreed per order; send the target shade system you work to and we confirm what can be matched.
NTS-ZR-4Y5Y — 4Y and 5Y high-translucency
Yttria raised above 3 mol% to increase translucency, for anterior esthetic work and parts where light transmission matters more than maximum strength. Which step — 4Y or 5Y — fits is an application decision; tell us the translucency and load case and we advise on grade before quoting.
NTS-ZR-3YG — 3Y raw powder, non-granulated
The primary powder before granulation, nano-to-submicron, for customers who run their own spray drying or form by routes granules do not serve — slip casting, injection-molding feedstock, proprietary binders. Because the binder is yours, qualification centers on the powder itself: chemistry, particle size and surface area on the COA, by stated methods.
