SiC Schottky barrier diodes for chargers, PFC front ends and the rectification stage of power converters, on two platforms — 650V and 1200V, 4–40 A — supplied as discrete packaged parts. The whole diode line carries industrial qualification; there is no consumer or automotive grade here to assume into a spec. The first buying decision is that current rating does not fully identify the part: a "1200V 40A" device can be a single die or two 30 A dies paralleled inside one package (labelled 60 A), and thermal resistance is then quoted per leg — so the two are not interchangeable once you re-check the thermal and surge design.
Grades
| SKU | Grade | Typical | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| NTS-SBD-650 | 650V platform | 4–40 A; Vf, IR, IFSM, Qc and RthJC per part; industrial | Chargers, PFC, rectification |
| NTS-SBD-1200 | 1200V single die | 4–40 A; industrial | Industrial power conversion |
| NTS-SBD-1200D | 1200V dual configuration | Two 30 A dies paralleled (labelled 60 A); thermal resistance per leg | Designs re-checking thermal and surge headroom |
Packages run from TO-247 down to DFN5×6; samples are 20–50 pieces per part number on a paid basis. The full part-by-part list — with forward voltage, reverse leakage, surge current, total capacitive charge, thermal resistance and grade — is not published and is sent on enquiry.
NTS-SBD-1200D — dual-die 1200V configuration
Two 30 A dies in parallel inside one package, so the datasheet current reads like a single-die 60 A part but the device behaves as a pair — thermal resistance is specified per leg, and surge sharing between the dies is what to confirm against your fault case. Specify whether your design was qualified on a single die or this dual arrangement; they are not drop-in equivalents.
What we verify
- Whether the die comes from an in-house fab or a foundry, and if a foundry, which one and where packaging is done
- Reliability qualification grade and AEC-Q101 status
- Process change notification (PCN) policy and last-time-buy (LTB) window
- 8D handling — NTS works the failure directly with the manufacturer's quality department
