Zirconia milling media for wet grinding and dispersion — the consumable inside bead mills running battery materials, MLCC formulations, pigments and inks. Diameter is the SKU: the finer the target particle size, the smaller the bead, and a mill is charged with one cut, not a blend. All three cuts are the same material class — Y-TZP 95 zirconia, true density ≥6.0 g/cm³, supplied in 25 kg units. Because media wears into the product, the number that matters over a campaign is not the day-one property sheet but the wear rate — worn zirconia is contamination in a cathode slurry or MLCC dielectric — so wear-rate data is agreed per order against your mill type, tip speed and slurry.
Diameter is the SKU, but the number that decides cost over a campaign is wear rate — worn media reports as contamination in the product.
Sizes
| SKU | Diameter | Application |
|---|---|---|
| NTS-BD-01 | 0.1–0.3 mm | Nano dispersion — battery materials, inks |
| NTS-BD-05 | 0.3–1.0 mm | Standard wet grinding — MLCC, pigments |
| NTS-BD-20 | 1–5 mm | Coarse grinding, large mills |
NTS-BD-01 — 0.1–0.3 mm
The fine cut for nano dispersion where the target is deep submicron: battery electrode slurries, conductive and ceramic inks. Confirm your mill's screen or gap size when ordering, because a bead the separator cannot retain is lost into the product.
NTS-BD-05 — 0.3–1.0 mm
The standard cut for wet grinding to the micron and submicron range — MLCC dielectric and electrode pastes, pigment dispersions. The default choice when the target sits in the range most horizontal and vertical bead mills are built around.
NTS-BD-20 — 1–5 mm
The coarse cut for pre-grinding, large-chamber mills and attritors, where throughput matters more than final fineness. Often run as the first stage ahead of a finer cut in a two-step grind.
